Keri Hilson & Garrett Talk About The Album

Nothing going on today. A few new articles and candids. New pictures of Seanny leaving My Gym we're posted today on Breathehavy but I posted the pictures of him yesterday already on britneyfm.com. Britneyfm.com is currently ofline btw; I don't know why either.

Anyway, what I did read was an interview with Keri Hilson & Sean Garrett talking about her new album. What I got from it was that Garrett just wants to make new, fresh songs that are nothing like her old songs because she's done so many great songs and albums before and needs to renew with this album. I agree. Keri said she wants to write some personal stuff and make it more "organic", THANK YOU GIRL! They'll be recording and sitting down together next week, apparently. I bet it will be sparks! Anyway, she also said something in the lines of the fact that she's going to have some clubsongs too, and they're great but she wants to take it to another level, to a more personal one. I agree girl, I agree. Because we all know or we don't know that I'm kind of tired of these clubbangers by now. There is nothing wrong with the softporn moaning songs with fly beats but I really got tired of hearing the same old lyrics.

"come and dance with me on the dancefloor, I'll blow your mind and your d***" WOW, did I just say that? wait, I did. Anyway, its true. Nothing wrong with a little sex here and there but she's a mother now and she should keep it propper. Well, not really. She's still Britney Spears, who gives a fuck. But you can't deny we've all seen it before, those kind of lyrics. And so many times before. Besides, I don't think wild sex and parties are her lifestyle anymore. I think a good song should fit someone's lifestyle some how. With In The Zone, we understood the whole deal. The album was about clubbing, having sex and doing it all over again the next day. It is what Britney went through those days. Ya'll remember the scandelous pictures and reports that Britney was drunk in Germany? haha, funny that it was such a scandal back in the days..
on another note, I remember it being a scandal that they photographed her in 2003 drinking Dr.Pepper. haha. Strange how things can change, right?

But in 2003 partying and clubbing was a part of her lifestyle. She was 21, just legal enough to actually take a step into the world of parties and drugs. Who gives a shit if she did drugs those days? She was 21. experimenting, all the way! But the fact is that she hasn't been seen out in a club since.. since April last year? I could be wrong... well, of course I'm wrong but I'm just saying. The album is all about the "comeback" and we all know she DOES have a dfferent lifestyle now.

Besides the clubbing & sex lyrics, I was also dissapointed in the fact that Blackout was so unpersonal. I don't want Britney to pull a Christina and sing about her mother or her children but hey, it would be nice somehow. Just a little more personal. Whats on her mind? What does she think and how does she think? I want to know!

What song probably annoys me the most on the lyrics part of Blackout is Heaven On Earth, it does have amazing lyrics. But damn, she wasn't in love at all when they wrote that. I'm pretty sure of that since she didn't have a relationship when they wrote all the songs. Well, maybe it was written late 2006, I don't care, she still woudn't have been in love because she just filled for divorce. So I'm like wtf, why did she sing that song? I don't get her feelings in that song. Lovely song, but so heartless, so Britney-less. Yet it does have really great lyrics just not fitting ones to her situation she was in at those times..

Love,
Emily x

ps: Seanny is growing up so fast. And he's 3 on Sunday! Wow! btw; JL is in town to celebrate the bday's of the boys and you know what? Kfed picked her up! Maybe the Federlines & The spears families are getting along.. I can't deny that I think its great. Stop it, its great that a father & mother are getting along. No matter who the father or the mother is. Damn it.
